Resumen
This paper extends the functionalities and reinforces the portability of a computer vision system and its IIoT platform development to perform the transplanting process of artichoke seedling and quality control accomplished by a cartesian robot. In first place, portability and security were improved by packing the IIoT system application responsible for processing images and detecting seedlings inside to a virtual machine Ubuntu 18.04 Desktop. Second, the functionalities of a software module that allows communication with the local server and an external server, was extended. The IIoT application was deployed on an external web server with the use of FRED service, thus achieving greater flexibility in terms of the location of the person in charge of monitoring the transplanting process and quality control. Finally, data of the transplanting process was acquired by the complete system thought a database connection and the average time for the transplanting process on two different days was obtained.
