Resumen
The Peruvian State has defined the Cultural Heritage of the Nation as the set of tangible and intangible assets that, due to their archaeological, historical, architectural, etc. importance, have value for the collective identities of the Nation. In this way, the State has been regulating certain uses, however, in spite of the legal restrictions that prohibit the use of the PCN for proselytizing purposes, several candidates resort to archaeological and historical representations to generate legitimacy with the electorate. Through a qualitative analysis of discourses and regulations, the incorporation of heritage elements in electoral propaganda is examined, blurring the boundaries between what is permitted and what is transgressed.
