Resumen
A reliable and high-quality internet promotes communication, access to real-time information and the creation of new knowledge, making it an area that educational institutions can no longer consider optional. However, poorly designed wireless networks often cause interference, frustrate users, and slow down academic activities. This study aims to understand how high-density Wi-Fi models improve quality of service in educational environments and to build and deploy a Cisco bottom-up approach as a framework. We conducted quantitative pre-testing based on a sample of 21 wireless media hosts selected through a non-probability convenience sample. Experimental design was followed. Significant improvements were noted in all monitored indicators: bandwidth decreased from 0.483 Mbps to 2.1 Mbps, an increase of 334.78%; latency decreased by 76.09%, from 194.09ms to 46.4ms; Jitter decreased by 95.89% (from 49.63 ms to 2.04 ms); and packet loss dropped from an average of 10.22% to 0%. These results show that high-density Wi-Fi network models significantly affect the quality of connectivity in educational settings, highlighting their value as a technology strategy that academic institutions of different sizes can adopt.
