Resumen
The bibliometric analysis of nanoparticle synthesis through microorganisms reveals an exponential growth in scientific production since 2010, peaking in 2020, reflecting its relevance in biotechnology and sustainable nanotechnology.Scientific articles (48.8%) dominate the literature, followed by reviews (21.07%), indicating a strong focus on original research.Leading journals such as Bioresource Technology (H-index = 88, 5,738 citations) and Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology (H-index = 82, 5,126 citations) highlight their influence in the field. The term co-occurrence network identifies key thematic clusters: biotechnological applications and bioremediation (green) and silver nanoparticles with antimicrobial properties (red), underscoring the diversity of applications.International collaboration is crucial, with India, China, and the United States serving as central hubs, while countries like France and Australia exhibit a high percentage of multinational collaborations (MCP % = 100%).Authors such as Mandal D. and Narayanan KB. stand out for their high impact, with seminal publications.Future trends point toward integrating artificial intelligence to optimize synthesis, utilizing genetically modified microorganisms, and expanding applications in biomedicine and bioremediation.Additionally, there is an expected increase in the use of advanced bibliometric tools (VOSviewer, RStudio) to analyze co-authorship networks and thematic evolution. This study highlights the maturity of the field, the need to standardize methodologies, and the importance of strengthening global collaborations to drive innovations in sustainable nanotechnology, with the potential to revolutionize sectors such as medicine, agriculture, and energy.
