Resumen
Glottodidactics is the process of irrefutable and technological knowledge applied in the didactic journey, with linguistic content, including planning, operation and evaluation, facilitating the process of successful teaching and learning of foreign languages. The objective is to map and analyze the scientific contributions made for the development of glottodidactics in higher education students, in foreign language learning in American and European countries between the years 2016 to 2021. In the literature review, categories such as: digital tools, didactic strategies, motivation and beliefs were considered. The methodology used was a qualitative approach, with a systematic review design, taking into account the PRISMA Statement; the search was conducted in English and Spanish. Seventeen articles were analyzed, of which 11 were from ProQuest, 3 from Scopus, 2 from SciELO and 1 from EBSCO. It was concluded that the constant use of glottodidactics improves and strengthens foreign language learning in students through the use of digital tools, where they exchange knowledge through socialization. On the other hand, the didactic strategies and pedagogical resources that teachers use for effective education, motivation and beliefs are linked to the experiences of each student with the language; considering their skills, abilities, styles and learning rhythms, to achieve academic literacy.
