Resumen
The Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC) is a platform that seeks to strengthen the effectiveness of international development cooperation. However, after more than ten years of existence, it has not presented the expected results, especially for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). The general objective of this document is to analyze the degree of effectiveness of the cooperation promoted by the GPEDC for LAC and especially for Peru. This research presents two results: (i) the GPEDC does not represent a vitally important space for LAC in terms of cooperation and (ii) despite the fact that Peru has shown leadership within the GPEDC, it still has many challenges to face. The importance of the study lies in the fact that it addresses the subject in a comprehensive manner and from the Peruvian perspective, an analysis that is not present in the academic literature on the subject.
