Generalized Predictive Control for Speed Regulation in Three-Phase Induction Motors: Design and Validation

Ipanaque W.; Cruz K.; Crisanto E. · Proceedings of the 2023 IEEE 30th International Conference on Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computing, INTERCON 2023 (2023) · DOI: 10.1109/intercon59652.2023.10326051

Resumen

This research highlights the relevance of the Generalized Predictive Control (GPC) Controller for speed control of induction motors in modern industry. GPC is an advanced technique that uses mathematical models and predictive techniques to achieve accurate and efficient motor speed control. A GPC controller is implemented in conjunction with a parallel PI using Python, a programming language widely used in scientific and control applications. The choice of Python is justified by its flexibility, ease of development and access to specialised libraries, such as NumPy, which facilitate the manipulation of matrices and the implementation of advanced control algorithms.
