Marreros E.J.C.; Saldarriaga C.A.C. · Encuentros (Maracaibo) (2024) · DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.13684014

Resumen

The objective is to identify the mechanisms that regulate the participation of women in politics to guarantee formal representation through a parity democracy with a quota of gender participation and alternation (male = female), which would lead to the growth and development of gender equality and the strengthening of an egalitarian society without discrimination. The method used consisted of consulting the databases, such as: Scopus, Ebsco Host, Proquest and Google Scholar. Articles related to the history, participation, representation and empowerment of women in politics were included. Articles related to gender equality were excluded from social policies. The results obtained show and demonstrate the gradual upward growth in the different countries of the world of the participation of women in politics.
