Resumen

We conducted a discursive and ideological analysis of a sample of rape-themed cassations issued by the Supreme Court of Justice of Peru. Specifically, we describe the citations to the common dictionary made by the enunciators (judges who make up the Permanent Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court) and identified the functions of these citations, as well as the ideologies implicit in these functions. We conclude that citations to the common dictionary function as argumentative premises, the common dictionary is conceived as a linguistic authority and languages are conceived as immutable and homogeneous. © Los autores.
