From Chronicle to Novelized History: El Marañón and La Florida del Inca

Resumen

This study demonstrates several similarities between El Marañón (1578) by Diego de Aguilar and La Florida (1605) by Inca Garcilaso. These range from the utilization of external sources to their own artistic reelaboration. Furthermore, it encourages the consideration of both works as novelized histories.
