Resumen
The article aims to analyze the perverse attitude and the infamous and malevolent behavior of Francisco Montenegro towards the peasants of the community of Yanahuanca, an attitude that has its origin in his status as judge and landowner, also as a consequence of the protection of political power. Montenegro, called the black suit, is one of the main characters in the novel Redoble por Rancas by Manuel Scorza. The story narrates the struggle of the peasants of the Peruvian mountains against the abusive power of North American mining capitalism, the outrages of the landowners and the Peruvian justice system prevailing in the 20th century. The methodology used was reading the novel, bibliographic consultation and analysis of the judge’s attitude. It is concluded that Montenegro is a perverse being, with the all-powerful master of the province being Daniel Alcides Carrión.
