Resumen
The invisibility, still, of the intellectual production of women in Peruvian and Latin American universities constitutes an epistemic and symbolic violence that feeds and protects gender violence in the historical structuring of our societies. For these reasons, I will refer to the Franco-Peruvian worker and feminist thinker Flora Tristán. In the first place, to the sources that led her to mental rebellion, including her life experience, nascent feminism, the so-called utopian socialism and her links with some men involved in women's struggles. Secondly, I will deal with his manifesto text Unión Obrera published in 1843; and, associated with all of the above, I will investigate, in an introductory manner, his legacy to social reflection and research. The research will be approached from a sociohistorical and gender perspective.
