Resumen
The presence of Coendou bicolor and Coendou longicaudatus is recorded for the first time in the Cordillera Azul National Park (PNCAZ), representing new areas of occurrence in the peruvian Amazon. Between one and three individuals of C. bicolor were documented during the observation periods, and one individual of C. longicaudatus. This finding underscores the importance of the PNCAZ as a refuge for biodiversity and the need for continuous monitoring to better understand the ecology and distribution of the species. © (2025), (Instituto de investigación de recursos biológicos Alexander von humboldt).
