Resumen

We report a new northernmost distributional limit for the polychaete Perinereis falklandica (Ramsay, 1914). Its previously known northern occurrence was in Chile at 18°28′S, and our new records, from 15°50′S, represents the first from Peru. Fifty-five specimens were collected in 2021, 2024, and 2025 from intertidal habitats at many localities in southern Peru and identified by their morphology. Differences in key traits compared to specimens from other latitudes are discussed. This finding suggests a continuous Chilean–Peruvian population in the marine Humboldtian ecoregion.
