Resumen
Shared accommodation platforms play an important role in the listing, reservation, and promotion of private accommodations, which represents a change in the usual way of conducting transactions in this industry. However, the factors that influence the intention to continuance shared accommodations have not been conclusive, due to the generalization of results. These factors include price consciousness and perceived value among users, who tend to base their purchasing decisions on cost. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine price consciousness, perceived value, perceived trust, perceived security in relation to satisfaction, continuance intention, and recommendation intention among users of shared accommodation platforms. A cross-sectional, quantitative, and explanatory research approach was developed. A non-probability convenience sample was used to survey 471 men and women between 21 and 40 years of age, obtaining 391 valid responses. The results were measured and analyzed using a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5 and structural equation modeling. PLS-SEM statistics and Smart-PLS software were used to evaluate the hypothesis. The results confirmed the 11 proposed hypotheses, demonstrating consistency and support in the data obtained. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2026.
