Sánchez-Espinoza J.; Gonzales-Macavilca M. · Proceedings of the 2023 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies on Education and Research, ICALTER 2023 (2023) · DOI: 10.1109/icalter61411.2023.10372939

Resumen

This phenomenological qualitative study aimed to explore the perceptions of Project-Based Learning (PBL) among 15 students in 5th and 6th grades from public primary schools in Carabayllo, Lima (Peru). The sample consisted of students aged between 10 and 12 years. Data were collected through a semi- structured interview guide used in focus groups. The collected data were processed using techniques of categorization, coding, and synthesis of conceptual networks. The results revealed that the majority of students perceived positive aspects, both academically and personally, of PBL. These findings provide valuable insights into students' perspectives on the effectiveness and impact of PBL in primary education. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of students' experiences and perceptions regarding PBL, highlighting the importance of incorporating project-based approaches to improve the educational process and promote student engagement and growth.
