Resumen
This research examines the impact of mentoring on technological skills among women working in the textile industry in the high Andean areas of Cusco, Puno, Tacna, Moquegua, and Arequipa in southern Peru. To evaluate this impact, surveys were administered both before and after the virtual mentoring sessions, focusing on acquiring basic tech skills such as using Google search, Canva, and social media management. The findings reveal that the mentoring sessions helped improve participants' technology skills. Initially, the surveys showed a widespread lack of these skills, with limited familiarity with tools like search engines and graphic design platforms. However, subsequent surveys demonstrated notable advancements in these areas. Overall, the study emphasizes the significance of mentoring in developing basic technological competencies and empowering women in the high Andean textile sector, suggesting that such initiatives can play a vital role in bridging digital gaps and boosting active participation in the digital economy and society.
