Resumen

Objective: Healthy lifestyles in university students have acquired significant relevance today, as they are a determining factor in their overall well-being and academic performance. Therefore, the objective of this research was to identify and compare healthy lifestyles among university students in the Peruvian Amazon. Method: A quantitative, descriptive and group comparison approach was used. The population consisted of 3755 students, while the sample consisted of 614 students who were administered the Healthy Lifestyles Questionnaire. To obtain the results, comparative figures were made and from the Chi-Square test, the conformed groups were compared. Results: It was found that 77.8% of the students of the UNAMAD had a moderately healthy lifestyle, while in the UAC this figure was 74.4%. In addition, when performing a comparison between both groups using the Chi-Square test, it was found that there is no significant difference (p> 0.05). Conclusions: It was concluded that a considerable percentage of students from UNAMAD and UAC presented a healthy lifestyle. In addition, no significant difference was found between the frequencies of the compared groups, suggesting that the proportions of students with healthy lifestyles at both universities are similar. Our findings highlight the importance of implementing strategies and programs that strengthen student welfare and quality of life.
