Resumen
In the field of nanosatellite engineering, maintaining efficient solar energy collection is critical for mission longevity, particularly as solar cells degrade in orbit. To address this challenge, this study introduces a ground-based experimental platform designed to simulate and test solar orientation algorithms for nanosatellites. The platform, based on the CubeSat 3U configuration, offers three degrees of freedom and uses photoresistor sensors to simulate sun-tracking capabilities. Experimental results demonstrate the platform's effectiveness, achieving a RMSE of approximately 3° in maintaining optimal alignment with the light source and improving power generation efficiency by up to 85% relative to the nominal power output. This adaptable and effective testing platform supports the development of reliable energy management systems for nanosatellites.
