Resumen
This research follows the guidelines of SDG 15 (Sustainable Development Goal 15): Life on Land, contributing to the fight against desertification, drought, and the rehabilitation of degraded lands and soils. The objective was to evaluate the alterations in the physicochemical properties of agricultural soils due to the infiltration and use of wastewater from a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). For this purpose, 32 soil samples were collected from two different zones: Zone A (agricultural soil affected by wastewater infiltration from the Covicorti WWTP) and Zone B (clean soil with no presence of wastewater located in the Barraza district, Laredo). The calicata technique was used to collect samples at a depth of 30 cm, which were later analyzed in the laboratory to determine various parameters such as density, moisture, pH, electrical conductivity, organic matter, and salinity. The results showed that the soils in Zone A are not suitable for agricultural activities, as they exceed the Maximum Permissible Limits (MPL), while the soils in Zone B exhibit better quality, aligned with reference values.
