Resumen
The aim of this research study is to design and validate a scale to evaluate university social responsibility (USR) management from the perspective of decision makers at universities from Peru. To design the scale, a content analysis of articles on USR is conducted, generating an initial proposal for a measurement scale. Expert judgment validation is performed, an exploratory factor analysis is applied, and internal consistency coefficients are determined. As a result, a scale composed of 24 variables is obtained, distributed among the following dimensions: 1) Organization, 2) Regulation, 3) Document Management, 4) Synergy, and 5) Diffusion. In conclusion, a valid and reliable scale is presented for decision making based on scientific evidence and on the ground reality of universities, allowing USR to be considered as a way of being, existing, and living of a holistic, complex, and creative nature. © Este es un artículo publicado en acceso abierto bajo una licencia Creative Commons
