Quispe J.; Tipan C.; Jaramillo R.; Arias D.; Tambini J.; Acosta A. · RISTI - Revista Iberica de Sistemas e Tecnologias de Informacao (2024)

Resumen

Currently, several microenterprises are unaware of the use of cryptocurrencies in the financial part, which means that new models and strategies are determined by promoting their use in the field of monetary exchange, which is why it is seen as an alternative that they be used by means of crowdfunding. The research is exploratory in a sample of 377 microenterprises in the southern sector of Quito to learn about the use and management of cryptocurrencies in financial transactions. The result was that the use of digital currencies is not always well received in the financial sector, however, microentrepreneurs are not closed to the idea of being able to have another way of making their purchases and sales, rather they agree that the entities Ecuador’s financial institutions have more service alternatives.
