Resumen
Ethics in industrial engineering education is of utmost importance. Delving into the specific ethical challenges of careers provides valuable information for the training of future responsible professionals. Several relevant characteristics define responsible behavior for aspiring industrial engineers, shaped by their professional training. In this sense, Industrial engineers must internalize ethical principles - honesty, integrity, transparency, and respect for others. These principles guide decision making in the design, production and management of industrial systems. Furthermore, they must understand that CSR is crucial. Companies must contribute to social well-being. Industrial engineers must understand how business decisions impact communities, employees, and stakeholders. Issues such as equity, diversity, human rights and fair labor relations fall within this scope. Engineers must understand organizational dynamics from a governance perspective. Decision-making, accountability and transparency play essential roles. Contributing to greater efficiency and ethical business management is part of an engineer's responsibility. Researchers recognize the need for statistical tools to gauge Industrial Engineering students' appreciation of these ethical aspects. Two critical axes - 'Social and Economic Impact' and 'Communication and Collaboration' - are integral to the ethical framework. Empathy and active listening skills are essential to understanding the diverse needs of stakeholders. That is why the main objective is to see to what extent these skills or strengths that the career intends to provide in training, are taken by students, mainly in specialty courses; and based on the results obtained, establish what measures are going to be taken to strengthen the need for identity between the purpose sought by the curriculum, in response to what has been forged by the various interest groups, and the understanding, application and practice by the students, with the aim of being able to establish an improvement in the application of these strengths with a view to the search for a transformation with a social and development, based on ethics as the fundamental axis of professional consolidation.
