ESTUDIO ESTADÍSTICO PARA LA INTRODUCCIÓN DE ESPECIES MEJORADAS DE PASTOS EN EL VALLE DE PICHIS, PERÚ

Resumen

The Valley of Pichis is an area of Peru with a mostly rural population and a great variety of flora and fauna. However, for many years there has been a trend towards deforestation that is increasingly worrying. Due to the overexploitation of pastures due to the intensive grazing that is carried out by the inhabitants of the area, it has been perceived that there are areas where the pastures are dry and in others there is a lack of pastures to continue feeding the local cattle. The lack of scientific culture on the part of the inhabitants of the area who are not capable of carrying out a more rational grazing is also appreciated. That is why it was decided to study the introduction of three plant species that can serve as substitutes for native species in order to provide a greater opportunity for regeneration of these species and thus avoid desertification of the area. The data obtained from the results of the experiment were processed with the help of the Kruskal-Wallis method, which consists of comparing the results of more than two independent populations, to determine if there is a significant difference between them, or if instead they respond to the same distribution. This is a non-parametric test and therefore has the advantage that it does not have the normality of the populations as a hypothesis.
