Resumen

The Medical Mechatronics course is focused on the acquisition of new knowledge related to applications in the field of Medicine; this course is taught in the tenth semester of the Mechatronics Engineering degree, Ricardo Palma University. The first evaluation criterion of the course is to make an electrocardiographic signal measuring equipment, this represents a challenge for the student when having to implement this equipment. The main objective of this work is the development of an electrocardiographic signal measurement equipment with modular parts as a pedagogical purpose, which reinforces the understanding of the concepts and parameters involved in designing and implementing this equipment in the subject. The composition contains a mechanical design with modular parts; the electronic design allows the signal to be conditioned and analyzed at each stage required for its acquisition; and the algorithm design allows the signal to be interpreted in order to obtain the heart rate. The results reflect the intuitive use of the equipment, with the obtaining and visualization of the desired signal; concluding that, the equipment presents a good structure as a pedagogical guide and an adequate ergonomics to fulfill its purpose.
