Resumen

Introduction: District Municipality of Wanchaq (Peru) has generated worrying levels of noise pollution. Objective: to zone the evaluation of environmental quality for daytime noise through acoustic maps as a tool for the prevention and control of noise pollution in the district of Wanchaq, province and department of Cusco. Materials and methods: focused on the evaluation of environmental quality through multiple daytime noise monitoring in Wanchaq district. Results: a noise diagnosis is obtained that favors noise zoning within the district. Environmental quality zoning for daytime noise in Wanchaq district was established by creating acoustic maps. Conclusions: it was based on the results obtained from monitoring carried out at 55 sampling points established using the grid methodology.
