Resumen
Entrepreneurship is due to the growing demand for labor, which drives female economic empowerment by motivating women to pursue their entrepreneurial goals with the experience and confidence gained, allowing them to reach their full potential. The objective of this paper is to explain the connection between entrepreneurship and women's economic empowerment in marginalized or developing communities in order to use it as an effective tool. Therefore, the most important reasons why entrepreneurship is an effective tool and brings as a consequence the economic empowerment of women are detailed. A qualitative study was conducted with the purpose of providing information and promoting women's entrepreneurship in general, using a descriptive analysis and a method of data collection known as empirical literature review in reliable articles, specialized institutions and theses of recent years. The research begins with a review of the role of women in the marginalized population, as well as the factors that influence women's economic empowerment, and then delves into the barriers that women face when they want to become entrepreneurs and case examples both nationally and internationally. Finally, conclusions are addressed to give a final focus to this article.
