Resumen

The purpose of the research is to achieve constant water pressure in geographic areas where homes are located on hillsides and hills. This geographical disposition forces the water distribution pipes to constantly go up and down to reach all the houses. To solve this case, an embedded system was implemented to regulate the water pressure in an autonomous and adaptive way. The system incorporates a water pressure sensor, which monitors pressure levels in real time. When the pressure exceeds a predefined threshold, the system activates a relief valve, which redirects excess water to a storage reservoir. Otherwise, if the pressure drops below the critical level, the system releases water from the storage reservoir into the network, stabilizing the pressure again. The results show that the standard deviation of the pressure decreased from 1.81 bar in the first half of the data collection to 1.56 bar in the second half. This reduction indicates that the system was able to maintain a more constant pressure as time progressed, which may be attributed to its ability to self-regulate in the face of external fluctuations or to the natural stabilization of the hydraulic environment.
