Resumen
This study analyzes the relationship between participatory, cooperative processes and public-private partnerships in governance. It emphasizes the role of the State in promoting mechanisms that encourage deliberation in decision making, articulating public policies with participatory mechanisms and ensuring transparency for accountability. A literature review was conducted using the PRISMA model, identifying 29 eligible references. The findings highlight the importance of citizen participation to eradicate corruption in the formulation of public policies. In addition, corruption was identified as an underlying category in decision making, affecting good governance. It is concluded that there is a positive debate on new forms of politics and that citizen participation is fundamental for community development. Including citizens strengthens effective governance, fosters constructive citizenship and reinforces the oversight function that is essential in a democratic society. Finally, it is emphasized that active participation in decision-making contributes to the common good, improves governance, and promotes economic development and citizen welfare. © Universidad de Caldas.
