Resumen

Renewable energy sources such as hybrid Microgrids are becoming increasingly popular on a global scale. Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) and PMSG-based wind energy conversion systems are two widely recognized and easily deployable sources. It is difficult to ensure a consistent Power generation from SPV panels and wind energy conversion systems due to the unpredictable and variable nature of wind speed and solar irradiances. Furthermore, the load fluctuates unpredictably. In order to tackle this problem, storage devices like a compact battery, fuel cell, and electrolyzer that operate with hydrogen are incorporated into the hybrid system to uphold Power equilibrium among all components. It is essential to have an effective energy management approach in place to enhance Power quality and dependability within the Microgrid. Both SPV and wind Power conversion systems are equipped with their maximum Power point trackers for maximizing the use of renewable energy sources. In autonomous Microgrids, where sources and load fluctuate quickly, maintaining frequency response and Power equilibrium are crucial elements. In this paper, we have implemented a novel control methodology using 3DOF-PID controllers to ensure accurate and rapid response for the energy management system. In addition to this, a five level inverter is also utilized to provide quality Power at load bus. The suggested system is additionally verified through Hardware-In-Loop testing with the support of OPAL-RT units, yielding comprehensive outcomes. 3DOF-PID controllers, Solar photovoltaic, Hydrogen storage, Battery, Power quality, wind, Microgrid, HIL.
