Resumen
Biogas is considered one of the most efficient methods for agricultural and industrial waste management. The main objective was to collect information to determine the effectiveness of different types of livestock manure and substrates in biogas production. Eligibility criteria for this review were based on articles from the last ten years in the WOS and SCOPUS search engines. We continued with the selection of studies following the PRISMA (Identification, Screening and Included) method and the Risk of Bias Assessment (Robvis). As a result, pig manure plus crude glycerol produced the highest efficiency of 94.5%; likewise, the Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) presented the highest values in the generation of biogas. The most commonly used methods are monodigestion, digestion and anaerobic codigestion. Likewise, parameters such as temperature, pH, HRT, C/N, NT and TAN play an important role in biogas production. It is concluded that the sum of livestock manure and the different substrates are efficient in biogas generation with different percentage ranges.
