Resumen
The fundamental purpose of this thesis work was to identify how effective personality variables and learning strategies are linked in students of a Private University of Lima. An investigation with a non-experimental design and correlational level is presented, which has as a sample 525 students who are in the first year of all the faculties of the university center. An instrument for each variable was administered to said sample, thus we have; for the first variable it was the effective personality questionnaire by Martín del Buey and for the second variable the multifactorial questionnaire of motivation and learning strategies by Paul Pintrich. Both questionnaires were duly guaranteed both in terms of validity and reliability. The results obtained in the study that we report, inform that both variables, effective personality and learning strategies, have a significant connection (r = 0.71 p<.001). Similarly, significant relationships were found between effective personality and motivational strategies (r = 0.63 p<.001) and effective personality and cognitive strategies (r = 0.69 p<.001).
