Resumen
The research aimed to analyze the compressive strength of mortar by incorporating 3% and 6% of non-Newtonian fluid (cornstarch mixed with water) in Cajamarca 2023. The research followed an applied approach with a quantitative focus. A total of 15 specimens divided into 3 groups were analyzed, comprising standard specimens and specimens with dosages of 3% and 6% of non-Newtonian fluid. Data collection utilized protocols established in the laboratory of Universidad Privada del Norte (UPN), where mortar tests were conducted. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics using the student version of Excel. Results revealed an inversely proportional relationship between the amount of non-Newtonian fluid and the compressive strength of specimens. The traditional mortar or standard sample achieved a strength of F`c = 89.43 kg/cm2, whereas incorporating 3% and 6% of non-Newtonian fluid resulted in a decrease in strength to 75.013 kg/cm2 and 39.664 kg/cm2, respectively.
