Resumen
The growing misinformation on sexuality has given rise to various problems in the nation. Despite the strategies implemented by government agencies, the proliferation of sexual diseases and teenage pregnancies continues to be a reality in Peru. Taking these elements into consideration, the purpose of this research was to analyze the relevance of sexual and reproductive education in high school students. To this end, the design of an educational intervention program on this subject was proposed. Methodologically, this is a qualitative research of documentary exploration. Among the main results, it is evident that the lack of information, as well as the myths associated with sexuality, increase vulnerability in this sector of the population. It was concluded that sexual and reproductive education should be comprehensive, consistent with social demands, sponsoring innovative strategies for its effectiveness in secondary education.
