Resumen
This paper aims to explain labor income inequality between ethnic groups in Peru during the COVID-19 pandemic through information from the National Household Survey of 2019, 2020, and 2021. The results show that the income of the indigenous only represented 55 % of the non-indigenous and their returns to education are lower than the other group. On the other hand, the labor income gap between ethnic groups is explained in around 63 % by observable characteristics and the rest by unobservable ones (exclusion and/or discrimination). © (2023), (Universidad Nacional de Colombia).
