Resumen
The objective of this article was to build a sustainable model from an empirical study where the relationships of the dimensions of the theory of planned behavior (TCP) and the eco-friendly purchase intention (ICEA) in Colombia during COVID-19 are analyzed. 322 Colom-bian consumers were surveyed, and the structural equation modeling technique was applied using SPSS-25 and AMOS-24 software. The results showed that the variable Intention to buy eco-friendly (ICEA) is influenced by 2 variables of the theory of planned behavior, being the perceived behavioral control (PCC) the one that contributes the most, followed by attitude (ACT) and finally subjective norm. (NS). That is, the variable that had the most predictive power over the ICEA is the PCC. It is concluded that the intention to purchase eco-friendly products has to do with the perception of caring for the environment through responsible and sustainable purchasing.
