Diversification of Peruvian turmeric exports in the period 2014 - 2023, Peru

Resumen

With its biodiversity and favorable agrological conditions, Peru has become an emerging producer of turmeric. However, Peru's agricultural industry faces difficulties in terms of the level of diversification of Peruvian turmeric, so an analysis is required to understand and evaluate its level of diversification. Having as objective to analyze the diversification of Peruvian turmeric exports in the period of years 2014 - 2023, counting with a basic type methodology, with quantitative approach, descriptive scope, non-experimental design, cross-sectional type, documentary review technique and using as an instrument documentary review guide, obtained as a result that The export dynamics of turmeric in Peru presents a growing trend, showing an increase of export in FOB value going from 1. 3 million in 2014 to increase in 2023 to 5.6 million US dollars, and in kilograms going from 600 thousand kilograms in 2014, increasing in 2023 with 3.2 million kilograms, this in turn is reflected in the price per kilogram which has decreased being in 2014 of 2.22 dollars, declining to 1.75 dollars in 2023.
