DISTRIBUTION OF CHIASMOCLEIS BASSLERI DUNN, 1949 IN COLOMBIA, WITH COMMENTS ON THE DETERMINATION OF HAMPTOPHRYNE BOLIVIANA (PARKER, 1927)

Resumen

We present the distribution of Chiasmocleis bassleri in the Colombian Amazon. We also review the specimens reported as Hamptophryne boliviana by Cabrera-Vargas & Rojas-Morales (2003) and present some characters to consider for the determination of both species. Additionally, we present some recommendations to avoid mis-identifying species in articles focused on distribution expansion and natural history records.
