Resumen

In the present research, a computer vision system based on a local network was developed for personnel control, using advanced image processing techniques with OpenCV. The system allows motion detection and automated tracking of people in real time, improving efficiency and safety in work environments. The agile Scrum methodology was implemented to manage the project, enabling rapid iterations and agile responses to changing requirements. Despite challenges such as variability in lighting and occlusion, the system was able to identify faces with 91% accuracy and optimize resource usage on the local network. The results underscore the potential of computer vision to transform workplace monitoring and safety by providing advanced tools for data-driven decision making. The study highlights the need to optimize algorithms to maintain fast and accurate response times, laying the groundwork for future research and development of similar systems. © CISCI - Simposium Iberoamericano en Educacion, Cibernetica e Informatica 2024.
