Discourse and process of amestizamiento of Spanish in “homilía del Khori Challwa”

Fernández G.G. · Mitologias Hoy (2020) · DOI: 10.5565/rev/mitologias.691

Resumen

This article reviews some aspects of the discourse present in the “Homilía del Khori Challwa”, introductory text to Gamaliel Churata's El pez de oro. Emphasis is placed on discursive construction, especially with regard to Andean orality, which is evidenced in the text by the introduction of terms from Quechua and Aymara. It is proposed that the oral dynamics coming from the two languages constitute one of the central elements of Churata's discourse not only at a theoretical level but in practice, in his own discourse, as from these elements a density is given to Spanish semantic and symbolic that in many cases leads to resemantization. The idiomatic hybridization that Churata proposes ends up creating, in his own text, an illusion of orality and with this it is possible to position both the content from the Andean world and the possibility of a new aesthetic.
