Resumen
The inclusion of people with disabilities in the national productive sector is a multifactorial challenge that, despite legislative and regulatory advances, continues to be shrouded in impediments, stereotypes and discrimination. In view of the above, this article analyzes the labor situation of this sector of the population in Peru, taking into account the evolution of the inclusion process, based on a theoretical-conceptual approach. It is qualitative research, supported by documentary exploration. Among the main results, it is highlighted that inclusion in the labor market is supported by international regulations, such as the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and at the domestic level by Law No. 30687, which sets the minimum percentage of insertion of disabled people in the public and private sector in the nation. It is also evident that these quotas have not been respected, as a result of structural conditions and the growth of informal employment that persist in the country. It is concluded that, in order to advance towards labor inclusion, collective work and communication between different social sectors is necessary to promote a fairer and more inclusive society.
