Espinoza-Villalobos L.E.; Diaz Zelada Y.; Moscoso Zegarra G.W.; Delgado Rospigliosi M.G. · Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies (2023) · DOI: 10.1007/978-981-99-0337-5_15

Resumen

The limitations established under the COVID-19 have meant an acceleration in the level of digitalization of the various organizations. This research seeks to establish the level of digital transformation achieved by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the level of prediction and association with business performance, so by determining the digital maturity index, measured in terms of business model, portfolio of products and services, access to market and customers, value chain and processes, information technology architecture, and organization and culture, the relationship it has with performance was determined. Through research applied to 87 representatives of small and medium-sized companies in Peru and Ecuador, it was found through Sommers’ test (d) that the business model or product portfolio (d = 0.606), market access, and customers (d = 0.672), as well as culture and organization (d = 0.762), have a strong relationship with the performance of SMEs.
