Resumen
This study quantitatively analyzes the impact of digital transformation on the decision-making of managers in higher education institutions in Latin America. The research adopted a quantitative approach with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational-causal design, applying two validated questionnaires to a probabilistic sample of 385 managers. The results, analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (Spearman’s Rho and multiple linear regression), reveal a high positive correlation (Rho = 0.782, p < 0.001) between digital transformation and managerial decision-making. The regression model (adjusted R² = 0.660) confirms that the dimensions of digital transformation, adoption of emerging technologies, digital infrastructure, digital competencies, and organizational culture, are significant predictors of more effective, rapid, and data-driven decision-making. It is concluded that strategic investment in technology, together with the development of a digital culture and managerial competencies, is fundamental to optimizing educational management and strengthening the ability of institutions to respond to the challenges of the current environment.
