Digital Induction in Higher Education: Design and Validation of a Program for Students

Guevara Alburqueque L.B.; Fernández B.H. · Espacio, Tiempo y Educacion (2026) · DOI: 10.14516/ete.13209

Resumen

The development of digital skills constitutes a key element in university education, especially in incoming students who must adapt to academic environments mediated by digital technologies. In this context, the gaps in access and use of digital tools show the need to implement structured induction programs that favor academic integration. The objective was to design and validate an induction program aimed at the development of digital competencies in incoming students of a Peruvian public university, based on the DigComp 2.2 framework. A study with a quantitative approach was developed, with a non-experimental, descriptive and methodological design. The program was structured in five phases (diagnosis, awareness, training, academic integration and evaluation), articulated with the dimensions of the DigComp framework. Validation was carried out through expert judgment, whose Aiken V coefficient values ranged between 0.85 and 0.95, with a global average of 0.90, evidencing high content validity. It is concluded that the designed program shows pedagogical coherence, alignment with international standards and feasibility of implementation in public universities.
