Resumen
This study examines the effect of an educational intervention based on artificial intelligence (AI) tools on the development of research competences among systems engineering students. A quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-test measurements is applied across five dimensions: question formulation, information retrieval, critical analysis, information synthesis, and communication. The intervention has sessions without AI and with guided training using ChatGPT, SciSpace, Elicit, and ResearchRabbit. The results show statistically significant improvements in all dimensions (p < 0.001), with the greatest impact observed in information retrieval and critical analysis. A multivariate analysis (PCA + K-means) identifies three distinct performance profiles. It is concluded that the pedagogical integration of AI tools within a structured instructional design can significantly enhance scientific proficiency in university settings. © Este es un artículo publicado en acceso abierto bajo una licencia Creative Commons. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/
