Resumen
English is considered the universal language, and in the context of ICT it has become the global language of communication par excellence. Knowledge of this language is an obvious necessity for any professional in the health area. In Peru, the edu¬cation system has traditionally presented difficulties related to teacher training and is currently engaged in a series of actions to promote learning in a mandatory manner, mainly in higher education. In this context, the objective of the present work is to diagnose the efficiency of the use of didactic resources used for teaching English, taking as a case study the perception of the level of learning of the language by students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences. The processing of the information obtained from surveys allows concluding that the preferred didactic resources are those supported by digital formats, in¬cluding those available on cell phones and the Internet. The skills acquired are mostly perceived at an intermediate level of competence, with better results in reading and comprehension, presenting gaps in the formation of skills for oral and written expression.
