Resumen

The lack of supervision during physical exercise increases the risk of musculoskeletal injuries, while most commercial wearable devices are limited to recording basic physiological parameters and do not provide real-time feedback on the correct execution of movements. This limitation creates a critical gap in active injury prevention during training. This paper presents the Anti-Injury Sports Watch, a wearable system consisting of a smartwatch and sensorized wristbands that integrate motion and muscle activity sensors to analyze exercise performance and issue immediate alerts in case of incorrect movements, thereby helping to prevent injuries. A pilot study with 68 participants showed that the device would likely fulfill its preventive function. The results demonstrate the feasibility of combining physiological and biomechanical monitoring with real-time feedback to improve safety and reduce the risk of sports-related injuries. © LEIRD 2025.All rights reserved.
