Resumen
The family is one of the most important bonds in people's lives and plays an irreplaceable role in the formation of values, self-esteem, and personal abilities, essential for social functioning. Given its relevance, psychology and sociology have developed various instruments to assess family relationships. The present study examines conjugal, parental-filial, and fraternal bonds through two questionnaires designed for adults and young people, integrating humanistic dimensions and the perspective of human values. Through random, stratified, multistage sampling, the questionnaires were validated with samples of 400 adults (M = 42.9, SD = 16.75) and 300 young people (M = 21.32, SD = 2.25) from two districts of Piura, Peru. The exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis highlighted the importance of unconditionality, justice, generosity, prudence, communication, and physical affection within the family environment. © This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
