Resumen
The study aims to analyze the impact of digital competencies on the employability of graduates from a Peruvian public university. The research followed a quantitative, nonexperimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design. The population consisted of 8,558 graduates, and the sample included 600 participants selected through intentional nonprobabilistic sampling. A Likert-type questionnaire of 12 items was applied, grouped into two dimensions: digital competencies (software management, digital information analysis, technological learning, and communication in digital environments) and employability (academic training usefulness and employment conditions). The results showed that 57.2% of the graduates achieved a high level of digital competence, while 49.3% reached a high level of employability. The ordinal logistic regression model demonstrated a significant relationship between both variables (χ2=516.649; p< 0.001), with pseudo R2 values of Cox and Snell =0.203, Nagelkerke =0.245, and McFadden = 0. 1 2 8, indicating a moderate but relevant effect. It is concluded that strengthening digital competencies increases the probability of achieving higher employability levels, reinforcing the importance of integrating digital training within university curricula to improve professional performance and labor insertion in digital environments.
