Development of a Software with Artificial Vision to Detect the Physical Defect of the Green Coffee Bean

León León R.A.; Atalaya Morales E.E.; Narvaez Alvarado S.B. · CISCI - Conferencia Iberoamericana en Sistemas, Cibernetica e Informatica (2024) · DOI: 10.54808/cisci2024.01.468

Resumen

Coffee is a key export for Peru, but the presence of physical defects in green coffee beans compromises its quality and commercial value. This project proposes to develop computer vision software to detect defects in coffee beans, using CNN (convolutional neural networks) and machine learning algorithms. This approach seeks to automate and improve the efficiency of the inspection process, reducing manual errors and guaranteeing the consistency and quality of Peruvian coffee for the international market. © CISCI - Simposium Iberoamericano en Educacion, Cibernetica e Informatica 2024.
